Electricity Consumption (Scope 2)

Record new electricity consumption

Emissions -> Sites -> Click on a site -> Energy

Click +Add and fill in your data:

• Vendor - add your Electricity provider or select one from the drop down list. This will be used to calculate emission per vendor, and will allow you to analyze your suppliers better.

• Calculation approach - this can be location based or market based. Location based approach means that the system will use emission factors for a country or region for this site, based on its' location. Market based approach will use specific information from your electricity contract and requires a vendor to be specified and custom emission factor to be added.

• Date - specify the date when the consumption has occurred. This can usually be found on your invoice.

• Clean energy percentage - if you know the breakdown of clean energy in your consumption, you can enter the percentage here - so the specified percentage will be discounted from calculations. As an example, you can specify amount of energy that is produced from solar panels on top of your office building.

• Unit of measurement - select unit of measurement for your consumption, typically kWh.

• Amount - specify the amount of electricity that has been consumed in the current reporting period.

• Comments - optionally, add any comments.

• Upload a file - upload invoices or any other files to support your records.
